COOKIE POLICY

FANS FIRST RESEARCH, LLC

Effective Date: 6/26/2026

This Cookie Policy explains how Fans First Research, LLC (“Company,” “we,” “us,” and “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit fansfirstresearch.com (the “Website”). It explains what these technologies are, why we use them, and your rights to control them. In some cases we may use cookies to collect information that becomes personal information if combined with other information; please also review our Privacy Policy.

WHAT ARE COOKIES?

Cookies are small data files placed on your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work, or work more efficiently, and to provide reporting information. Cookies set by the website owner (here, Fans First Research, LLC) are “first-party cookies.” Cookies set by anyone other than the website owner are “third-party cookies.”

WHY DO WE USE COOKIES?

We use only first-party cookies that are necessary or helpful to operate the Website, together with cookies set by our website platform, Squarespace, to deliver and maintain the Website.

IMPORTANT: We do not use cookies for third-party advertising, cross-site tracking, or targeted (interest-based) advertising, and we do not use third-party analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, the Meta Pixel, or TikTok.

Some pages do, however, include embedded third-party services that set their own cookies when you interact with them: a SurveyMonkey survey is embedded on our individual survey pages, and a Mailchimp sign-up form is embedded on the Site. Those cookies are set by the respective providers and are governed by their own privacy and cookie policies.

TYPES OF COOKIES WE USE

The table below lists the cookies and similar technologies identified on the Website by direct inspection of the live survey pages. No third-party advertising or analytics cookies were found. Because the Website is still being finalized, the exact set should be re-confirmed with a cookie scan of the fully public Site immediately before launch, as additional cookies can appear once all features are live.

Cookies We Use

crumb — Squarespace (first-party). Strictly necessary. A security token that helps prevent cross-site request forgery (CSRF) and protects form submissions. Session cookie. Cannot be rejected (essential).

ccpa, cpra, ss_marketing, ss_performance — Squarespace (first-party). Functional / consent. Record your cookie and privacy choices — including your CCPA/CPRA opt-out state and whether you accepted marketing and performance cookies — so the site can honor them. These reflect your own choices.

SS_ANON, SS_SESSION, sm_rec, smcx_, CX_, auth, ep201, ep203 — SurveyMonkey (third-party; survey pages only). Functional. Set by the SurveyMonkey survey embedded on our survey pages to run the survey and maintain your session. Governed by SurveyMonkey's privacy and cookie policy. You can reject these through your browser or cookie settings.

Mailchimp cookies — Mailchimp (third-party). Functional. May be set by the embedded newsletter sign-up form. Governed by Mailchimp's privacy and cookie policy. You can reject these through your browser.

We do not use cookies for advertising or for third-party analytics (no Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, Meta Pixel, or similar). The site also loads Google Fonts, which sends a request to Google to deliver the font but is not used for advertising.

The Site also loads fonts from Google Fonts; this sends a request to Google to deliver the font but is not used for advertising. To review the embedded providers’ own policies, see SurveyMonkey at surveymonkey.com/mp/legal/privacy and Mailchimp at mailchimp.com/legal/cookies.

HOW CAN I CONTROL COOKIES?

You have the right to decide whether to accept or reject non-essential cookies. When you first visit the Website, you are presented with a cookie consent banner that allows you to accept or reject non-essential cookies; strictly necessary cookies cannot be rejected because they are required to provide the Website. You can change your preferences at any time through the cookie banner or settings on the Website.

If you reject non-essential cookies, you may still use the Website, although some features may be affected. You may also set your browser to refuse or delete cookies. Because the method varies by browser, please consult your browser’s help menu, for example:

  • Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge, and Opera each provide cookie controls in their settings and help documentation.

OTHER TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES (EMAIL)

The Website itself does not use web beacons for advertising. However, the opt-in marketing emails we send through Mailchimp may contain standard web beacons (“tracking pixels”) that tell us whether an email was opened or a link was clicked, so we can measure and improve our communications. This applies only to email you have opted in to receive, and you may opt out at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.

LOCAL STORAGE AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

In addition to cookies, the Website and the embedded survey use your browser’s local storage for technical purposes — for example, a routine check that storage is available and a cached set of feature settings used to deliver the survey. These items are stored on your device, are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking, and can be cleared through your browser settings.

HOW OFTEN WILL WE UPDATE THIS POLICY?

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the cookies we use or for operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. The “Effective Date” at the top indicates when it was last updated. Please revisit it periodically.
